Now that we’re in full swing and the timer construction is complete, we’re ready for Pinewood!
Really looking forward to seeing all of your creations! Who will be fastest of the day? Who was the most creative? I don’t know yet but I’d bet there are some pretty cool cars out there made by our scouts and families.
Right now weather is looking like snow will start about 2:00pm and drop 8-10 inches on us overnight. I anticipate being done racing by noon, this will leave plenty of time until the snow starts flying.
I think we can all agree that we’re excited for the festivities and we’ll see you Saturday, January 19th at 10:00am for the races!
With all this rain it’s kind of hard getting things done but we managed to reschedule the Flag Retirement for Tuesday, November 13th at 5:30pm for all that can attend. We have been graciously provided some land at 16 NY-96, Owego, NY 13827, it’s the location of the farm stand across from “E. E. Root & Sons.”
Josh Fahey will be leading the group of kids in the Retirement as the final requirement of his Eagle Project, we’re looking forward to seeing what Josh has put together and are privileged to participate. I know it’s short notice but if you are able to attend it will fulfill requirements for your scout and is a good way to show respect to our country.
It’s hard to believe it’s that time again where the ghosts and goblins will be coming out to play. For this months pack event we’ll be heading over to Stoughton Farms to walk the maze. It’s a great time, and weather permitting, it should be a fun walk. We will be meeting at 11:00am on October the 27th at Stoughton and will be walking the maze shortly thereafter.
