Hey all, I just wanted to thank everyone that attended!
I finally got all the whipped cream smell out of my nose if you’d wondered. I discovered what pipe cleaners are for! Joking.
What’s not a joke is ticks, it has been reported that there have been some that have found ticks after blue and gold, it might be in your best interest to check your kids, significant other, etc, to make sure they aren’t carrying anything.
Thanks again and we look to another wonderful year in scouting in the fall of 2019!
Blue and Gold time is upon us again, we will be changing venue one more time to Abide in the Vine pavilion located across from what used to be San Mina, 1277 Taylor Road, Owego, NY 13827, between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. This year our format will be very similar to last year with hot dogs, hamburgers, and various salads. If families could please bring a desert of some sort to share that would be excellent!
Well folks, it’s been another great year and many of our boys have earned rank and/or moved onto Boy Scouts. We recently honored them with awards at our annual “Blue and Gold Banquet.”
Congratulations go out to the scouts and families that crossed over for “Arrow of Light”, Troops, 60, 38, and 30 all got some of our boys, we wish them the best in their continued scouting.
While our scouting program may be off for a few months we do offer “Cub Scout Day Camp” from August 6th – August 10th which is staffed by our Pack 37 families and friends of scouting. Day camp offers a unique theme this year of “Wild West” and is one of the only ways for your son, or daughter, to earn their shooting sports requirements. If you are interested in more information on attending day camp for your son or daughter please check out the Baden Powell Council web-page to get registered.
